Since you have to get a collar or harness anyway, you might as well get one that looks good on them. Just because it’s necessary doesn’t mean it can’t look good. As a matter of fact, a nice collar or harness can be the best looking accessory on them, so long as you get one that matches their personality. There are a lot of different kinds of collars available. If you have more of a high end dog that likes to look fancy and you like to dress her up, there are leather collars, croc skin collars and even rhinestone collars for those who really want to get chic. If you have more of a tough guy or tough girl with an attitude that gives a bigger bite than bark, it’s fun to get a spiked collar. The little metal spikes coming out creates the perfect rough dog look. You don’t have to be a bulldog or a giant dog to pull that off.
As a matter of fact, the hot look this season is to see a little Chihuahua or Yorkie with a spiked collar on. It’s very cute, I love it. If you want more of laid back, simple look there are some simple cotton collars available, and there’s also a Sherpa collar. Sherpa collars are nice because they have faux lambskin lining the inside, which makes it very comfortable and useful for an extended period of time.
